SUPPORTING CREATIVE WOMEN IN LOS ANGELES AND THROUGHOUT CA VIRTUALLY
Find confidence and heal imposter syndrome.
Your creativity does not have to be stifled by imposter syndrome.
Whether you're an actor, a writer, a musician, or an aspiring artist, you're ambitious and self-aware. The road to success is tough, even when you're creative, hardworking, and full of big ideas. You might feel that your low self-worth prevents you from expressing yourself creatively.
You told yourself that this feeling of being an imposter would wear off by now. It’s impacting your creative expression at work and feels like it’s holding you back from achieving life goals. You may be at the point in your life where you are tired of not being where you thought you would be in your career. You just want to be happy and confident with the life you’re creating for yourself.
Imposter syndrome can leave you struggling with low self-worth and comparing yourself to your colleagues way more than you’d like. You may feel like you're stuck in place while everyone else is moving forward with their lives. Therapy may be for you if:
Despite your knowledge, you feel like a fraud.
You doubt your abilities and accomplishments
It is easy for you to tell yourself- "I'm not worth it," or "I'm not good enough."
You dwell on mistakes and/or assume no one else makes the same mistakes as you.
You set very challenging goals and feel disappointed when you don't reach them.
It’s possible to release old patterns and find new ones.
Therapy for imposter syndrome can help you move from feeling inadequate to finding your confidence and purpose in life.
We will work together to overcome the stumbling blocks holding you back. During our time together, we will explore how your past influences your present and teach you how to self-soothe so that you can achieve the life you want. Therapy for imposter syndrome isn’t:
Me forcing you to change the essence of who you are
Me guaranteeing that everything will be fixed by the end of our work together
Me getting paid for recommending books and blogs
Changing the past as if it didn’t happen
During your initial intake session, we'll discuss what your needs are and how I can help. Having a chance to work with women who desire purpose, confidence, and happiness at work, who want to dig deep, work hard, and plan for their future as creative people is one of my greatest passions. Our therapy sessions are always confidential.
Initially, there may be a feeling of vulnerability, but we will walk together to find solutions & cope with the challenges. The extent of your disclosure during sessions is entirely up to you. My only request is that you provide me with some brief feedback during sessions as to what is coming up for you. As your therapist, I am committed to challenging you in a gentle way and providing you with tools and assistance to help you get unstuck and gain confidence.
Therapy for imposter syndrome can help you:
Stop comparing yourself to your colleagues
Re-examine your childhood in a helpful way
Avoid reverting to old habits
Think and speak more confidently
Feel good enough regardless
Learn how to cope with everyday challenges
Stop feeling like you’re a fraud
What EMDR therapy can do for imposter syndrome
What is EMDR and how can it help you heal from imposter syndrome? The term EMDR is an acronym for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a type of therapy that is known for treating trauma. EMDR therapy is also effective for mental health issues such as depression, self-esteem issues, anxiety, etc.
There are a number of ways to explain how EMDR works, but at its core, it is a way of getting past your past. A key difference between EMDR and other forms of talk therapy is that it facilitates long-term change without requiring you to discuss disturbing experiences in detail. During an EMDR session, I will simply ask you for feedback on what is coming up for you. You don't have to discuss it if you don't want to.
EMDR can help you achieve the change you've been seeking. Take the first step toward overcoming imposter syndrome with a 15-minute consultation.

During your first few sessions we will cover your intake paperwork. During these sessions, my goal is to get a full understanding of your needs and how I can help. I offer different session lengths, and I recommend in the beginning we meet once a week for the first 13 sessions to keep up the momentum we see in session. We will create a treatment plan that will act as a guide for your therapy, but sessions aren’t overly structured unless we are doing a therapy like EMDR. Otherwise, if you experience a conflict during the week, we can unpack it together during the session. Payment is collected at the end of the day electronically.

As a therapist, it is my goal to always assure my clients that they are confident in their own skills and abilities, and not reliant on me. This process takes different amounts of time for different people. The time we spend working together will depend on the challenge you're experiencing. In many cases, I support clients for longer periods of time, serving as a resource for coping skills and navigating new challenges.
